Bringing Art and Music Together: A Journey from Makeup to Painting

Hey there! I spent my childhood in the sunny city of San Diego. Music has always been my passion, and from a young age, the Rolling Stones became my ultimate favorite band, along with The Beatles, The Who, The Kinks, Van Halen, AC/DC, just to name a few in a VERY long list.

My other passion was fashion and I was obsessed, if I had spent as much time reading my history book as I did reading Vogue I would probably be doing something else, thank goodness for my misspent youth. In the nineties I went to beauty school and eventually became a freelance makeup and hair artist in the fashion industry, working with the top models, celebrities, athletes, in many cities around the world, New York being my favorite. But then, as fate would have it, the world was hit by a global pandemic.

During those challenging times, when uncertainty loomed large, I found solace in something I never knew I had within me - painting. Music has always been my go to for everything, happiness, sadness, celebration and so it was a obvious choice to paint the people who have had a profound impact on my life.

And that's when magic happened. As I delved into the world of painting, my love for music intertwined with my newfound passion for art. I began creating bold and transformative acrylic paintings of my favorite musicians, with the Rolling Stones naturally taking center stage in many of my creations.

Today, as I continue on this exciting journey of not only painting my heroes but meeting the legends that take the photos that I use as my inspiration, oh the stories that I have heard.

Thanks for being a part of this adventure with me. Here's to many more colorful, musical moments ahead!
